Anne Elder Brown, 75, of Bumpass, Virginia passed away on Friday, January 6, 2017. She was an active member of Holly Grove Christian Church, a lifetime member of Holly Grove Volunteer Rescue Squad, a member of Holly Grove Ruritan Club, President of the Holly Grove Senior Citizens Club and an avid supporter of Holly Grove Volunteer Fire Department.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Edwin S. Brown; and is survived by her son, Thomas H. Brown of Bumpass, her granddaughter, Piper J. Brown and her sister, Mary Davis both of North Carolina.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11am on Saturday, January 14th a Holly Grove Christian Church, with a reception to follow at Holly Grove Volunteer Fire Department, 143 Factory Mill Road, Bumpass, VA.
In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations to Holly Grove Christian Church Samaritan Fund, or Holly Grove Volunteer Rescue Squad or Holly Grove Volunteer Fire Department.

I was saddened to hear of Ann's passing. I truly enjoyed getting to know her. She was always so positive. The last time we saw each other, we had prayer. Sorry, I couldn't be with you at the service but just know that my thoughts and prayers are with you. May God give you peace and comfort.

I just learned of Anne's passing last night. I am indeed so sorry. I know she will be missed in the Holly Grove neighborhood. Have many memories of Anne and our l961 classmates.

Tom,I am so sorry to learn of the death of your mother and my Victoria High School classmate. I am sure that she will be missed in her church and in the community where she had made significant contributions. My deepest sympathy to you and to all who loved her, especially your daughter and her sister, Mary Frances.
