Archie Clements, Jr.

Archie Wesley Clements, Jr., 78, of Louisa passed away Saturday, August 2, 2008 at his residence. He was born June 22, 1930 in Louisa to Archie Wesley Clements, Sr. and Kathleen Poore Clements. Archie was a retired veteran of the United States Air Force, after which he worked as a mechanic at Pettit Brothers Chrysler for 23 years.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Juventina Clements, three sons, Archie Wesley Clements III of Orange, John Edward Clements and Dennis L. Clements both of Louisa, his daughter, Tina L. Houchens of Louisa, two step-daughters, Rosana Matamoros of Richmond and Alexandra Garrido of Canada, three brothers, Marvin Clements of Beaverdam, Billy and Ed Clements both of Louisa, two sisters, Georgia Miller of Orange and Birdie Blount of South Carolina, and a number of grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Lois Fincham and Margaret Brooks, and two brothers, Lester and Frank Clements.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 9, 2008 at Hillcrest Cemetery with the Rev. Denny Burnette officiating.
