Bernice Louise Boswell

September 29, 1930 – February 18, 2025

Bernice Louise Boswell passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 18, 2025. She was born in Louisa County to the late Aubrey L Amos and Mae Amos.

Bernice was the third of five siblings. She is survived by her sister, Hilda Harper; and was preceded in death by two sisters, Lillian Armstrong, Betty Dunivan; and one brother, Henry Amos. Bernice was married to her late husband, James Boswell, for 70 years.

In addition to her sister, Bernice is survived by her three children, James E. Boswell (Eddie), Brenda Spinks and Lorraine Noel; ten grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, February 23, 2025 at Lacy Funeral Home, 6241 Cross County Rd, Mineral, VA 23117. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 24, 2025 at Hopeful Baptist Church, 14340 Hopeful Church Rd, Montpelier, VA 23192. Interment will follow in the Hopeful Baptist Church Cemetery.

Following the service, the family will welcome friends at Lorraine’s home, 379 River Bend Drive, Bumpass, VA 23024.
