Cathy Renee Cutright
July 24, 1970 – February 27, 2025
Cathy Renee Cutright, 54, of Louisa County, passed away unexpectantly on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at St. Mary’s Hospital surrounded by her loving family and friends. Cathy was born on July 24, 1970, to the late William Ernest Melton Sr and Florence Lee Melton. She was proceeded in death by her parents, William and Florence Melton; stepfather, Joseph Preston Stanley; and sister, Lisa Lynn Melton Harris.
Cathy is survived by her children, Joey Cutright (Ashley), Ricky Hairfield, and Shannon Stanley (Robby); grandchildren, Destiny, Shane, Lexi and Lilly; close friends, Julie Brewer and Trina Gibbs; her children’s father, David Cutright; as well as many other friends and family members.
Cathy was always smiling, laughing and joking. She was a natural caretaker and loved everyone. Even after her passing she donated what organs she could and saved three lives. She treasured the beach and would spend many days at the lake. Cathy had a love for music and enjoyed dancing. But everyone knows she loved her children and grandchildren more than anything. She was so proud of every one of them and everyone knew they were her pride and joy. Cathy had a big heart and was loved by many.

Carolyn Melton Woolard Cathy is my youngest sister I was 21 getting married when she was born. She was adorable and watching her grow was a delight. She and my other 2 sisters spent summets with Donald and my two sons about 4 years younger than she. we always had the most fun. Swimming, go carting, skating, going to the movies. They went to church with us and I will miss her so much and she will be forever loved. I am her Godmother at St Andrew’s Episcopal Church when she was baptized. Her older brother Billy misses her and loves her as does her sister, Brenda. You are forever loved. We will be together again in heaven.
