Daniel (Danny) Franklin Clough

August 24, 1945 – January 15, 2025

Daniel (Danny) Franklin Clough, passed away peacefully at the age of 79, surrounded by family on the afternoon of January 15, 2025. He had been a resident of Shalom Gardens Parkside Senior Living in Henrico, Va.
Daniel is preceded in death by his parents, John Robert Clough, Sr. and Joyce Nicholas Clough of Apple Grove, Va.; his brother, John Robert Clough, Jr. of Mable, Pa.; and his sisters, Peggy Clough Ryan of Richmond, Va., and Mattie Merle Clough of Apple Grove, Va.
Daniel is survived by one sister, Jean Clough Hollins of Apple Grove, Va., as well as a niece, nephews, cousins, and their families.
Daniel was born on August 24,1945, in Apple Grove, Va. He attended Louisa County High School and went on to serve six years in the United States Army and Reserves. Daniel was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Sharpshooter (Rifle) Badge while serving in the military. After the service, he worked at the Pallet Plant in Apple Grove for a few years. He then moved on to work for Bottled Gas Corporation of Virginia (Columbia Propane) in Richmond for over 30 years, acquiring the role of a gas deliveryman. Daniel took pride in maintaining his truck to a shiny perfection and held an exemplary driving record until he retired. Daniel also enjoyed walking at Regency Square Mall, reading his Bible, and listening to gospel music.
A private family graveside service will be held at the family Cemetery in Apple Grove, Va.
