Daniel “Whistle” Lowe Jr.
August 16,1955 – March 21, 2021
Daniel “Whistle” Lowe Jr., 65, of Mineral, VA passed away on March 21st, 2021 in his home surrounded by his loving wife and children. Danny was born in Maryland to Daniel and Lorraine Lowe on August 16th. Danny had a need for speed and loved riding Harley Davidson motorcycles. He had notoriety in the racing community; winning multiple trophies and being featured in serval different newspapers. Danny also managed, Team Bulldog, a top fuel Harley Davidson racing team, who he helped lead to several victories. His favorite was the NHRA Mello Yello series, which you could find him watching most Sunday’s; and during football season he was always watching his Raiders play. Danny was also the proud owner and operator of M&L Carpets, serving 40 plus years as a carpet layer until retirement. He enjoyed spending his retirement around the lake or at the beach people watching. Danny also loved hanging out with friends and getting into mischief; whatever he was doing he was sure to leave a lasting impression on those he came across. Danny is preceded in death by his father, Daniel Lowe Sr., mother, Lorraine Lowe, sister, Joni Lowe Burdett, and brother, George Klinger. Danny is survived by his wife, Clara “Liz” Lowe, his three sons and daughters-in-law, Joshua Lowe and wife Sue, Zack Lowe and wife April, Cody Lowe and wife Erin. His three stepchildren, Johnathon, Samantha and Heather Stidham. His six grandchildren, Harlee, Tysen, Decklan, Brooklyn, Oliver and Roxie Grace. His brothers Ralph Chepuras and Mike Lowe. His six nieces and nephews, Stephanie Burdette, Christina Chepuras, Shannon Lacy, Frankie Chepuras, Dawn Burns, Katlyn Lowe and many great nieces and nephews. His Uncle Dave Paige, Aunt Jean Ketterer. His ex-wife Montie Lowe, longtime friend Richard “Richie” Yerby, his cat Spook and his many, many friends. A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held Saturday April 17th , 2021 from 11am-4pm at 101 Forest Ln., Mineral VA 23117, Tall Pines Commons Area.
