David W. Grubbs
July 7, 1957 – August 31, 2024
David W. Grubbs, born on July 7, 1957, entered his eternal rest on August 31, 2024, following a brave battle with cancer. Survived by his wife of 47 years, Wanda; and children, April Keister (Daniel), Kelly Jones (Barry Jay) and Matthew Grubbs (Lindsay). David is also survived by his 10 grandchildren who were the light of his life; his brother, Douglas Grubbs (Jackie); sister-in-law, Beverly Grubbs; and brother-in-law, Waverly Cutright. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lucille Grubbs; a brother, J.D. Grubbs; and a nephew, Douglas Grubbs, Jr.
David was a member of Bethany Christian Church where he previously served as a deacon for many years. He was a Charter Member of Locust Creek Volunteer Fire Department, and a Lifetime Member of Holly Grove Volunteer Rescue. David worked at North Anna Power Plant for 25 years and then as a contract worker for nuclear plants along the East Coast for the next 15 years.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Friday, September 6, 2024, at Bethany Christian Church, 2402 Bethany Church Rd, Bumpass, VA 23024 with a funeral service to begin at 3:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Bethany Christian Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Bethany Christian Church Benevolent Fund, 2402 Bethany Church Rd, Bumpass, VA 23024.

David was a wonderful Christian family man who was loved by all. He fought a hard battle with cancer and now is in Heaven feeling no pain in presence of our Heavenly Father

David was such a caring person , He and Wanda used to bring My Sister here to SC when David worked at VC Summer Plant, I will always remember how He and Wanda were there when My Sister was in the Hospital, David knew the question that needed to be answered, His concern for Both Sister and Us, was so appreciated, David
