Delmon Leon Clay Jr.

Feb 05, 1964 – May 21, 2019

Delmon Leon Clay Jr., 55, of Goochland County passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2019.

Mr. Clay was a member of Gum Spring United Methodist Church and was a 31 year U.S. Army Veteran, who served two tours in Iraq.

Survivors include his wife, Melissa T. Clay; daughter Jessica R. Hopper (Joe); mother Loretta G. Barton; brother Bryan Clay (Kristy); grandchildren Caleb Nash Hopper, Annabelle Grace Hopper and Levi Clay Hopper. He was preceded in death by his father, Delmon Leon Clay Sr; and a sister, Barbara K. Clay.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 24 at Gum Spring United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

    Melissa, So sorry for your loss and all our losses of my sweet nephew. He will surely be missed!I I always looked forward to seeing you all that the family reunion and talking to Del. I love you, Jessie and the family. You are all in my prayers, plus my sister Gay. God be with you through this. He will strengthen you and wrap His loving arms around you.
