Eunice Walton

Eunice Virginia Grubbs Walton, 91, of Gum Spring, passed away Friday, August 12, 2011, after a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Annie Belle Grubbs, and her grandson, Nelson Lee. She is survived by her husband, M. Freeman Walton; her sons, Martin Alma and Thomas; her daughter, Betty Fields Bobby; her grandsons, Marty Lynda, Robbie Cristina, Billy Lisa, Morris Kelly, Hugh, Shannon Amy, and Brandon Alisha; her great-grandchildren, Lauren, Chelsea, Sommer, Sophia, Shelbey, Maggie, Elizabeth, Stevie-Lee, Jackson, William, Marvin and Cole; her sisters, Eleanor Lee and Frances; her brother, David Cheryl; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, August 15 at Oakland Baptist Church, Gum Spring, Va. with interment in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3-5 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the church. Mrs. Walton was an active, lifetime member of Oakland Baptist Church.
