Hazel Callison Anderson entered the loving arms of Jesus, her Lord and Savior, on Friday, September 28, 2018. She was born in Cuckoo, Virginia in 1924, and she lived there until she married Andrew Alfred Anderson in August of 1942. She spent most of her adult life in Latham, New York until August 1976 when she returned with her family to Louisa County. Hazel enjoyed her family, flower gardening, reading and bird watching. She especially enjoyed the hummingbirds. In addition, she always enjoyed a good game of Rummy or Rook; especially if she won.
Andrew Alfred Anderson, her husband, greeted her along with all of her sisters and brothers as she arrived in heaven. She left her six daughters ; Gail Weininger of Kennesaw, Georgia, Joyce Gayne of Altamont, New York, Peggy Brunez of Scotia, New York, Linda Harrigan of Glenville, New York, Joan Frederickson of Hagerstown, Maryland, and Terri Anderson of Chesapeake, Virginia. She also left her son-in-law’s ; Jack Weininger, Bobby Gayne, Lenny Brunez, and Richard Frederickson along with twenty grandchildren and forty-four great grandchildren. A family legacy that will live on. The family would like to thank Raymond and Jauna Brooks and Cindy and LaShell of Hospice for all of their help and support keeping her at home. A service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 11AM at South Anna Baptist Church. The service will be officiated by Pastor Steve McClary, a family friend. A reception at the church will follow.
