Jacqueline Lee Roche, 41, of Sandy Hook, passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2023, surrounded by family and friends, after a long battle with metastatic breast cancer.
Jackie was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, daughter-in-law, sister-in-law, and fiercely loyal friend. She was
extremely proud to be a registered nurse at VCU Medical Center. She loved her coworkers and was very dedicated to her patients.
Jackie is survived by her husband, James; their children, Brianna and Ryan; her parents, Thomas and Jean Kateeshock; her sister, Sandy Stern (Ken); and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, October 5 at Lacy Funeral Home 6241 Cross County Rd, Mineral, VA 23117, A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 6 at Providence Presbyterian Church 3388 Three Chopt Rd., Gum Spring, VA 23065. Interment will follow at Spring Grove Memorial Park Cemetery 1-573 Bridge Rd. Mineral, VA 23117.

I am so sorry for your loss. I only met Jackie a few times, but her courage and faith will always stay with me. She was such a model of love and endurance through this difficult time. She is my hero, may she rest in peace in the arms of God.
I am so sorry for your loss James along with Brianna and Ryan. Jackie was one of a kind person and fellow nurse that I worked with in the Radiology Department. She going to be missed not only by her family but also her work ( brothers and sisters) family . I will certainly miss her . My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of time
