John Lee Hoffman, 75, passed from this life into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday,Nov 5, 2014. He was born in Geneva, Illinois on August 15. 1939.He was preceded in death by his parents John R and Victoria Cooper Hoffmanand his first wife Joyce Boyle Hoffman.He is survived by his wife, Susan Paitsel Weber Hoffman, his sonJoseph (Tori) Hoffman of Plainfield, Ill. his daughter, Sonja(Steve) Lange, daughters, Merry Roe, Shirley Garza ofAurora, Illinois, grandsons, Michael (Hailey) Burke, Timothy(Celina) Hoffman, Steven (Claudia) Lange and Ryne Lange,great-grandchildren; AJ and Taylin Lange, Nash Burke,and soon to be born, Cole Hoffman all of Illinois.Also surviving are Susan’s children; Joy (Mike) Perry, of Herrin, Illinois, David Weber of Mineral, Virginia, grandchildrenZachary (Cassie) Weber, Rebecca Weber, Katie and Steven Perryof Herein, Illinois, Alissa and Caleb Wood of Michigan. aniece, Kelly (Chris) Carey of Kansas City, Missouri, adopteddaughter, Mary Bruce of Richmond, Virginia, his sisterLinda (Jeff) Selle of Las Vegas, Nevada; niece, Shelley (Nick)Sikora of Aurora,Illinois, nephew Jeffrey (Vickie) Casale ofWisconsin and several great nieces, nephews and extendedfamily members.John lived in mineral for 17 years where he was known forselling eggs to neighbors from his little chicken business heloved so much. He will be greatly missed, for to know Johnwas to love him. Previously in Illinois he had worked forBeacon News in Aurora, Illinois where he had received awardsfor being paper carrier of the year and was loved by his manycustomers.A memorial service was held at his home that he loved so muchin Mineral, Virginia, on Saturday Nov. 8, 2014 attended byfamily and church friends.
