To my brother, may God keep you in his light, watch over your loved one along with mom & dad. We will miss you!
Jay,
I always loved you. Because we far away from each other I haven’t seen you for probably 40 years. I remember visiting with Uncle Russ in California. We came down to see and were permitted to aboard the ship. It was a great opportunity for Kimmy and I. I’m sure you are in heaven. You were a fantastic man.
Praying that Christ will comfort and give you peace through this time of grief and loss. I worked with Joe many years and I am very sure he will be missed. He was alot of fun to be around and loved his family very much.
Condolences to the family. Enjoyed our time together on the golf courses. worked together a few years and such a dedicated associate. Rest well Joe, you will be missed.
Joe’s family are in our prayers. I worked with Joe and learned aa lot from him for several years. He was diligent and hardworking. We also enjoyed playing golf on a few local courses. Joe, will be misses by many coworkers.
Dad, I’m going to miss you more than words can express. I feel you close so many times throughout the day. You were stubborn, you always tried to lighten the mood, and you are the best father that a son could ask for. We were partners in crime against the world and very rarely left the house without each other. We were always checking on each other. You were a true peace maker who hated fighting. I will love you always, dad.
Your dad was an awesome man. My return to civilian life from the USN was guided by your father. I had a very hard time readjusting, and Joe was just always there for me when I was on the precipice of giving up. Your father gave hope to many, and transitioned that hope in to prosperity for ourselves and our families.
Imma really miss Joe Bay, but not like you will.
Respect, your father was a great man among men.
I will miss you Cap, see you in heaven someday for a catchup. Thank you for your friendship and kind words of encouragement.
Taken too soon Joe. I miss you buddy. Yours forever in our hearts and prayers.
Rest In Peace Cap.
My thoughts and prayers goes out to all of Joe’s family. You will be missed. Certainly a life cut short!
Rest in peace Joe. my thoughts and prayers goes out to your family.
you will be missed.
Rest in Peace, VM Guru! Thank you for sharing your knowledge with your Singapore team. My condolences to the Baysura family.
I was very fortunate and proud to have known you for the past 34 years. Your work ethic and dedication was impeccable. You never knew what sick leave and retirement meant. I’ll never forget your love for the Pittsburgh area and how happy you would get when I brought back newspapers from the area. The countless outage windows and disaster recovery tests that we worked on together will be forever etched into my mind. Also, it was so amazing to me of the support and care you gave when a fellow associate was fighting a terminal illness. You will not be forgotten and certainly will be missed. Praying that your family will be comforted and may you forever rest in peace.
P.S. I still have not forgiven you for taking our real estate agent, Bettye Martin, up to Mineral and getting her lost 25 years ago. Because of this, she missed my closing..

Joe Bay, my USN brother. My wife and son had just talked to you before you left the eye doctor.
I just found out today that you had passed. Great times and GREAT MEMORIES at the Bank, you were always a champion for we vets getting our feet back on the ground.
You will be missed by many. God’s Speed.
Great man, gone to soon, but God has plans for you now and we must trust in His guidance. He needs you more than we.
Regards,
James B.
I also worked with Joe Bay for many years and hope his family keep the FAITH, he will be missed.
I am sad to learn of this news. Joe was a great coworker back in the Barnett Bank days in Jacksonville. I know he was so excited to become a father. He loved his children dearly. Such a kind and loving soul. RIP Joe.
Joe, you will be remembered as a wonderful person, full of life and positivity. Dedicated to your faith, family and friends. You will be not forgotten. May you rest in peace.
I worked with Joe for 24 years at the bank. He was a great guy who always had a funny story or observation to share about life. Joe will genuinely be missed by all of us who worked with him. May God’s love be with all family and friends during this time of mourning. RIP with the angels Joe.
Uncle Jay, it’s hard to believe it’s been early 2-months since you passed away. I’m sure you were watching above during your funeral service. There were so many friends, coworkers and of course our family that traveled to Williamsburg to celebrate your life and sharing memories of you. It was great to meet your coworkers and hear how they all met you along the years and more than 1 shared that you were a huge jokester!
You would have been SO proud of Anna and Andrew these past few weeks. It’s been emotional and stressful and no doubt still have long road ahead getting your estate straight. I have faith their sibling relationship will now stronger than ever and hopefully continue to keep a close eye on each other.
Oh yea, Miro is living his best pup days in PA and seems to LOVE driving Aunt Kim nuts. He’s a bit crazy and had a wild streak and officially earned the nickname, Jackass. Lol he doesn’t appear to mind it at all as he chows down on his calming, CBD infused pup treats!
I miss you and will always love you, Uncle Jay. Until we see each other again, rest in peace and give Memaw and PapPap a huge bear hug for me. 🙏🏼
Joseph and I were together for 32 years. I am so grateful to him for our children and introducing me to the Byzantine Catholic faith. It is still a shock even after six months that he is not with us. He loved dearly his children, the beach/ocean, golf and had a love/hate relationship with the Pittsburgh Steelers! He had a strong work ethic and when challenged with a task he would not give up (cursed a lot through it all though, lol). He was not a reader but enjoyed magazines, crossword puzzles and pretty much all types of music but mostly the oldies. His beer of choice was, of course, Iron City Beer. He will live on through our children. I see certain qualities of him in Anna and Andrew. He is in my prayers that he is filled with joy to be with our Lord and his soul is filled with peace. May his memory be eternal.
Happy birthday jay im betting dad and you had a shot and beer for your birthday and mom would tell you that’s enough you’ll never believe this I went to your funeral service and sat in church the whole time only because Linda and Brian next to me so I couldn’t go outside it was nice met the people that you worked with they were really nice bet they miss you I wore all red white and blue didn’t care what anybody thought you know I wear those colors every day for us Americans these last few months have been really hard to deal with Andrew is gonna be just like you Miri that dam crazy dog his buddy is Brian he goes to the home with us Logan is my grandson he’s my hero you never got to meet him he keeps me going many days I just feel like I have nothing I toasted a tea frappe and hot chocolate to you for your birthday til we meet again enjoy all the angels love your crazy sister kim
Dad, I had a shot of Crown for you when I was alone yesterday for your birthday, I know you and Pap Pap had one! Life hasn’t been the same, it’s incredibly hard going into adulthood, and just life in general… without you to help me despite my current support. I may not have shown it a lot, but many days you were the one to make me want to get up, doing work in the yard isn’t the same… Maybe one day we can finally throw that football and maintain a beautiful house with tons of land in Heaven.
