Lenora Harper Rigsby

March 7, 1941 – June 28, 2024

Lenora Harper Rigsby, 83, passed away Friday, June 28, 2024.  She was born March 7,1941 in Louisa, Virginia to the late Hunter Louis and Aurelia Walton Harper.

She is survived by her son, Rodney W. Rigsby (Diane); grandchildren Joshua Giusto (Anna), Jason Rigsby, Katie Giusto; and one great-grandchild, Garrett Giusto.  She is also survived by her brothers-in-law, Johnny Rigsby and Louie Suffredini; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Walter Samuel “Junior” Rigsby, Jr.  Nora was the last remaining sibling to Pauline Suffredini, Louis (“Bozie”) Harper, Juanita Wilburn, and Julian Edward Harper.

Nora retired from Louisa County Public Schools as an Aide.  She loved her Church and reminiscing of the “good ol’ days”.  She was an avid reader and kept many genealogy records of her and Junior’s families.

A special “thank you” to her niece, Cindy Wyatt, and her family for all of the love and care shown to Nora.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, July 1 at Salem Christian Church Cemetery located at 4023 Paynes Mill Road, Bumpass, VA  23024.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Salem Christian Church in Nora’s memory.
