Lois Annette Dehner

August 31, 1943- June 2, 2020

Bumpass, Virginia    Lois Annette Henderson Olsen OJALA DEHNER Our loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 in Charlottesville, VA following a stroke. She was born July 31, 1943 to Paul Eugene Henderson and Cora Lee Gregory Henderson Pearce. She attended Back Creek Elementary School, Andrew Lewis High School, Salem, Virginia; Hermitage High School, Richmond, Virginia; and Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served as a seminary teacher for many years and also taught people how to read and write. She loved to sew and was very creative. She is survived by her husband, Edward James Ojala; siblings: Barbara H Tate, K Partridge Coldesina, Gray Henderson, Jeff Henderson, Kim Green, Barney Henderson, Barry Henderson, and Jerry Lee Pearce; her children: Rulon Olsen, Kelly Olsen, Angel Ojala Fidler, Bliss Ojala, Cupid Ojala, and Dolly Ojala Carwile. She has 18 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren with an 8th on the way, many nieces and nephews and many, many cousins. She was preceded in death by husband John George Dehner; her parents; her brothers Joseph Marina Henderson and Paul Eugene Henderson, Jr.; and a previously divorced husband, Glen Olsen.

A family graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, June 9,  2020, at the Dehner Family Cemetery in Hanover County. Branch President Val Chapman presiding.
