Lou Chapman
April 6, 1944 – January 11, 2025
Lou Chapman, born on April 6, 1944, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2025, at the age of 80.
Lou was the beloved daughter of Robert and Mary Isbell and grew up alongside her brother, Curtis Isbell. In 1966, she married Thomas Chapman, her devoted partner of nearly six decades. Together, they built a loving family and raised three children: Neville Chapman, Deirdre Wilson (Steve), and Graham Chapman (Kristin). Lou was also a proud grandmother to three grandchildren: Riley Powers, Caroline Chapman, and Jacob Chapman. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Isbell; her father, Robert Isbell; her son, Robert Neville Chapman; and her great-grandson, August Phent.
Throughout her life, Lou was known for her boundless compassion and her unwavering commitment to giving back to others within her community. Her true passion in life was taking care of others – something she spent her life dedicated to. Even after she retired, Lou spent her time volunteering at her church and spending time with her family, things that gave her great joy. She held a special place in the hearts of those who knew her as “Mama/Nana,” titles she cherished deeply. Her kindness and generosity left an indelible mark on every person who was fortunate enough to cross her path. Lou’s legacy of love and selflessness will continue to inspire all who remember her. May her memory bring comfort and peace to those who loved her.
