Raymond Arnold Johnson, 64, of Mineral Va passed away on November 23, 2022, at his home.
Raymond loved to smile and make people laugh. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, spending time with family, and most of all being the best Papa to his grandchildren. He was extremely hard working and dedicated to his career of 28 years at F. Richard Wilton.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Flent Wilkins, brother, Mark Howard Johnson and sister, Velvett Wilkins Gibson.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Kay Johnson; children, Raynor Johnson (Carrie) and Kelly-Rae Harlow (Doug); mother, Shirley Wilkins; sibling, Pati Johnson, and Jimmy Gibson; grandchildren, Wade, Layla and Clyde Johnson, Penelope Ann and Raegan Harlow, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Raymond always knew how to put a smile on your face and made sure it stayed. Raymond will always hold a special place in my heart with the joy he always brought.

Words can not express my feelings of sorrow over Raymond’s passing. He was an amazing man to not only his family but to so many others, like myself and my entire family. We aways looked so forward to seeing him at each opportunity. Always greeting us with big smiles, hugs and just so joyful to be around. He will be truly missed here on this earth.

Kay I’m so sorry for loss.
Raymond was not only my brother in law he was my brother. We had some great times together that I will always cherish. He was a great husband, father and grandfather, he was a friend to all and will be deeply missed.

I am still in shock over Raymond’s passing and know that Kay, Raynor, Kelly-Rae and all who loved him must be devastated. My heart goes out to his entire extended family with prayers of peace and comfort. Rest well, Raymond…you will be desperately missed!

It’s been awhile since I’d seen Raymond but we had a lot of good times together. A good man with a great heart. I’m praying for all of the family and know that God will get you all through this. Rest in peace my friend.
