William Ray Lowry

William Ray “Woodsman” Lowry, Sr. 68, went to be with the lord May 18, 2017; surrounded by his loving family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Rena Lowry and his brothers, Bobby and Tommy Lowry.
Mr. Lowry retired from VDOT after thirty-four years of service. He was a member of Chapel Church of Christ and a life-long member of the Helltown Hunt Club.
He is survived by his wife of fifty years; Mary Lowry, his children; Laura Fox (Bobby), Bill Lowry, Penny Canter and Amy Clough(Tony),
his grandchildren; Brian (Dana), Jessica, Forrest, Samantha, A.J., Lexie, Alex and Bailee, his great-grandchildren; Kaden, Greyson, Truman, Cullen, Kaylyn and Drake and his brother, Wayne Lowry (Teresa).
A Memorial Service will be held 2pm on Friday, May 26th at Chapel Church of Christ, Montpelier, Virginia. The family will receive friends from 12 to 2pm prior to service.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his honor to, Virginia Wheelin Sportsmen, 17 Lake Haven Lane, Ruckersville, VA 22968.
