Hazel Loving Harris Johnson passed while in residence at Envoy of the Meadows, Sandy Hook, VA on Sept 2, 2018. Hazel was born on Sept 3, 1924 at Easte Leake Va. She is the daughter of Richard E. Harris & Thelma W. Isabel. She is a graduate of Louisa High School Class of 1942 and a retired secretary from Molins. Ms. Johnson was a member of the Belmont Merrymakers and amateur genealogist as well as a lifelong member of Gum Spring United Methodist Church. She is survived by her son, Robert “Cookie” Dillard (Emma), grandchildren Ginger Dillard, Ken Dillard (Heather), Brett Dillard (Samantha), Cari Dillard and great-grandchildren Autumn Daley and Kevin Dillard. She is preceded in death by two spouses, her beloved son, William “Tom” Dillard and her siblings Elmer W Harris, William R Harris, Richard G. Harris, Audrey H. Henley as well as her beloved dogs.
The memorial service will be held at Gum Spring United Methodist Church, Thurs, Sept 6, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. A reception will be held at the church following the service. There will be a private interment at Gum Spring United Methodist Church.
