To those in Monte’s life, I am so sorry for your loss. I enjoyed reading about his accomplishments. He truly was a talented person! I’m sure there are so many memories you all have of him that are so special. As you hold those memories close to your heart, know that our Creator has promised a beautiful future for mankind where tears, pain and death will be done away with completely here on earth (Revelation 21:4). It is my hope that you all will continue to find comfort in the days ahead.
Mr. Monteith was a special friend to those of us here at Livingston Elementary and we are deeply saddened by the news of his passing. Through his gracious donations, he supported many students in our cafeteria school lunch program. Our heartfelt condolences are sent to Mrs. Monteith and her family.
I came to know Monte through his music and later as a good friend. I spent many fine nights at Tiffany Tavern listening to Skystone. Monte is gone, but will long be remembered. In the words of Tennyson, “Tho’ much is taken, much abides.”
