Floyd Wayne Askew, 63, of Bumpass passed away on Monday, November 20, 2017. He is preceded in death by his father, Floyd Ray Askew; his son, Donnie Watson; his granddaughter, Heaven Faith Jones and a nephew, Timothy Dunivan.

He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Marion Stanley, his step-father, James Stanley; his children, Stephanie Shiflett, Robert Askew, Jason Askew (Tiffany), Melissa Askew (Sam Woods), Jessica Askew (Nicholas Jones), Jennifer Askew McQueen (Richard), Brooke Shiffett King (David) and Christopher Askew; twenty grandchildren, one niece and two nephews; three brothers, Ronnie Askew, J. K. Stanley (Lori) and Thomas Stanley (Stephanie) and two sisters, Darlene Dunivan and Debbie Wright (Jimmy McGhee)
The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 2pm on Monday, November 27, 2017 at Lacy Funeral Home; RT. 522, Mineral, VA. A funeral service will be officiated by Rev. Terry Gilbert at 2pm. Interment will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery, Mineral, VA.
