Mary Kathleen Pace Throckmorton, passed away in her sleep on November 24, 2014 at her home in Sandy Hook, Virginia.She was born December 9, 1958 to the late Willie James Pace and Julia Hancock Pace of Goochland, VA. Her step mother, Orilla T. Pace also predeceased her.She is survived by her loving husband, Lee W. Fletcher, her cousins, John D. Coffey and Bill (Prim) Coffey with whom she lived a significant portion of her childhood, Cleland (Suzanne) Ratcliffe, and Clinton (Laura) Ratcliffe. She is also survived by her close friend, Clay Bowen.Mary worked in many fields during her life but her specialty was the restaurant business. Her sparkling personality and hard work was a welcomed addition to many establishments in the Richmond area. Mary loved her family and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.There will be a public viewing on Friday, November 28, 2014 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Lacy Funeral Home, 6273 Cross County Rd, Mineral, VA 23117.Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 29, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Byrd Presbyterian Church, 2229 Dogtown Rd., Goochland, VA 23063 followed by interment in the Church cemetery.

Mary and I met at the Meadows Envoy Center this past May. We developed a nice friendship as roommates. I know she will be missed by many and God will keep her in his hands. My sincere condolences to Lee and her family. May God be with you now and always.
