Brian Lee Beckley, Jr., one month shy of his seventh birthday, of Holly Grove Virginia, left for heaven surrounded by his family, on January 12, 2013. Brian is survived by his mother, Kristy Hart Beckley of Holly Grove and his father, Brian Lee Beckley, Sr. of Montpelier. He is also survived by his brother, Harrison Halcolm Hart, and his sister, Brianna Lee Beckley; his maternal grandparents, Martin and Pam Hart of Holly Grove; and paternal grandparents, Robert and Vicky Beckley of Montpelier. He is also survived by his great grandmothers, Virginia Brown of Holly Grove, Berta Mae Proffitt of Bumpass and Lou Gammon of Richmond; his great grandfather, James Stanley and his wife Peggy; three aunts, Sheri Hart, Debrah Beckley, and Melissa Huckstep Beckley; two uncles, Clay Hart and JD Dymacek; and cousins Jacob Scott, Tony Peyton, Jr., and Robert Lee Beckley, III. He was preceded in death by his uncle Robert Lee Beckley, Jr. and his great grandfathers Dellie Proffitt and Newton Gammon, along with so many close relatives too numerous to name. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 17 in Holly Grove Christian Church, with interment in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday, January 16 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. All are invited to a fellowship at the Holly Grove Volunteer Fire Department immediately following the interment. Brian,You have touched so many in your short time hear on this earth. Many are much better for having met you. You had the heart and soul of a lion, and a smile that could melt any room. I am happy to have had the chance to know you. You are a hero to many. I know that you are now pain free and enjoying all there is in Heaven and you deserve it. Thoughts and prayers for your loving family during this time.
My how I already miss your smile and wish you were here with me you were the best and bravest grandson anyone could ever have my life will never be the same with out you I love you so much it hurts goodby my sweet boy until we meet again .
Vicky and Family, there has not been a day that we have not thought about Lil Brian and the family. May God bless all of you in the loss of your Lil Angel. Just know that our hearts and thoughts are with you during this time, even though we cannot be with you. Love to all.
