James Howard Lear, 88 of Bumpass, Virginia went peacefully to be with his Lord on Thursday August 2, 2012 surrounded by his loving family, wife Dot ( his Charlie Brown), daughter Polly Hart, and her husband Jason, his special granddaughter, Becky Sauvager and family, the apple of his eye and bud, youngest grandson, Benjamin Hart. Jim and Dot would have celebrated their 70th anniversary on August 17th. Jim was predeceased by oldest son Jimmy and survived by son Dorie and wife, Bobbie, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also, survived by a loving brother Robert of Springfield and sweet sister in law, Virginia Lear of Fairfax. Family will receive friends Sunday, August 5, 2012 from 2-5pm at Oakland Baptist Church; 2800 Oakland Church Road, Gum Spring, VA 23065. A funeral service will be held 12 noon on Monday, August 6, 2012 at the church with interment in church cemetery and a reception to follow at the church.In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Hospice of the Piedmont; 675 Peter Jefferson Parkway, Charlottesville, VA 22911-8618.
Jim you were a special man that is loved and will be missed.
