Cecil M. Nicholas, 78 of Bumpass, VA passed away Sunday, May 20, 2012. He was known as Papa Slick” to friends and loved ones. Cecil “Slick” was a long time retired employee of Atlantic Construction formerly Hungerford Mechanical Inc.
He is preceded in death by his wife June Nicholas his brothers Charles and Carlton Nicholas and
his half sisters Grace and Neva.
He is survived by his son Cecil Nicholas Jr. and his wife Mindy his daughters Debbie Nicholas and Linda Hess and her husband Gary five grandchildren Jamie Nicholas Jennifer Meyers and her husband Tripp Michelle Hess and her fiancée’ Mark Blowers Tyler Hess and Parker Hess; his sisters Barbara Scott and Eugenia Rigsby; and his two closest companions “Roscoe” and “Jubal”.
Among his many nieces and nephews to include Keith Shirley Sonny and his closest nephew and best friend Kelly Scott “SB-1”; and three in-laws Becky Mallory Joe Leonard and his wife Diane and James Leonard and his wife Lydia.
A Memorial Service is planned for 11am Thursday May 24th at Hunton Baptist Church 11660 Greenwood Rd Glen Allen VA 23059.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations in his name may be made to Hunton Baptist Church or Heartland Hospice.
