Richard Ervin Henshaw, 66, of Bumpass, passed away, Saturday, January 2, 2009, at his home.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Ervin and Gladys Searles Henshaw, and his brother Samuel A. Henshaw.
Survivors include his wife, Jo-Anne S. Henshaw; his son: Bryan Keith Henshaw; his daughter: Wanda H. Colvin and husband David; his granddaughter: Kaitlyn Colvin; his sister-in-law: Denyse Henshaw and nephew Kenneth Henshaw.
Funeral service will be held, 11:00 AM, Tuesday, at Beaverdam Baptist Church.
Family will receive friends, 6:00 PM- 8:00 PM, Monday at Beaverdam Baptist Church.
Interment will be private.

I had the privilege of playing softball with Richard.He was afierce competitor,and a true gentleman.He touched a lot of lives,and will be truly missed.God must need a good pitcher forthe upcoming season .We will keep your family in our prayers.
