VICK, Carolyn Carneal, 69, of Chesterfield, a graduate of D.S. Freeman class of ’57, went home to be with her Lord on July 12, 2008. She leaves behind to cherish her memory a loving husband of 43 years, Raymond E. Vick; her son, Michael R. Vick and wife, Pamela, of Richmond; her daughter, Melissa Vick Ragsdale and husband, Michael, of Knoxville, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Tiffany, Samantha, Jacob and Sydney; a brother, R.L. Carneal Jr. and wife, Esther, of Fort Myers, Fla.; a sister, Barbara Carneal Cox Stokes of Edenton, N.C.; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and close friends. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Lacy Funeral Home, Route 522, Mineral. Graveside funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday in Locust Grove Family Cemetery, 1796 Atkinson Road, Mineral. All are welcome to God’s Celebration of another one of his children. I had the pleasure of knowing June as a co-worker and a friend. She is one of the most pleasant people I have had the opportunity to work with. She will be missed geatly by all who have come to know her, and I feel lucky to be one of those who will miss her.
