Hugh Gordon Whitley
February 23, 1931 – January 27, 2021
Hugh Gordon Whitley, 89, of Bumpass, Va. died Wednesday, January 27, 2021. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 61 years, Peggy Dymacek Whitley. He is survived by his two daughters, Pat Penn (Bob) and Linda Scott; one son, Mike Whitley (Debbie): five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A private graveside service will be held at Bethany Christian Church Cemetery.
Mr. Whitley was a very loving and compassionate teacher at Piedmont Christian School when I attended. He was my favorite teacher of all my years there. My sister said that he was very patient with her and I agree. Prayers for his family for comfort and peace. Until we meet again on that beautiful shore.
