Barbara Jean Hix
January 11, 1952 – May 28, 2021
Barbara Jean Hix, 69, of Louisa, VA passed away peacefully and went home to be with her Lord and
Savior on May 28, 2021.
Barbara loved her family, God, reading her Bible and spending time with her loved ones. Her faith in
God was her rock and salvation. She lived a humble life, never met a stranger and is now enjoying
the riches Heaven has to offer.
Barbara is preceded in death by her father, Charles F. Glass, Jr.; her brother, Robert W. Glass; and
her ex-husband, Roger W. Hix.
Barbara is survived by her mother, Gladys J. Glass; her daughter, Lisa Hix- Bowling (Wayne); son
Charles Hix (Tammy); her granddaughters, Ashley Rigsby, and Brooke Hix; great-granddaughter,
Addison Rigsby; her brother, James Glass; sisters, Marlyn Dawson, and Amy Breeden; numerous
nieces and nephews; and her companion, Gilbert Vineyard.
A celebration of life will be scheduled for a later date.

As we mourn your passing we know you are celebrating in Heaven with God and loved ones who greeted you upon your arrival. Our comfort is knowing you are whole and healed walking the Streets of Gold ❤️ until we meet again , let’s just say for now. Thank you for always loving us. I am so proud to be of You ! My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time. I remember when I was a teenager and Barbara and Rodger opened their home to me as I was having a rough time. I hold that in my heart always.
