Barbara Gail Atkinson
April 25, 1955 – October 7, 2025
Barbara Gail Atkinson, 70, of Mineral, VA, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, October 7, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis Price Atkinson and Doris Jane Cook Atkinson. She is survived by her brothers and sisters, Mary Jane Atkinson Watkins, David Louis Atkinson (Theresa), Kathy Lynn Atkinson (Jimmie), and Gregory Lane Atkinson (Frances), all of Mineral, VA. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and the children of her friends that she loved as her own.
A graveside service will be held at 2pm on Monday, October 13, 2025 at the Atkinson Family Cemetery-Locust Grove, 1796 Atkinson Rd., Mineral, VA 23117. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Providence Presbyterian Church at Gum Spring, PO Box 13, Gum Spring, VA 23065.
Now she is singing in the choir of Heaven for her Lord

I just heard the news that Gail had passed away. There are no words. She and I reconnected after so many years and texted often and shared so many memories of the years when Myself and my children had the honor to be friends with and cared about by Gail and her family. To all of you… sending you love and prayers. She and I shared so many memories in the past few years of our times. Now she is with her wonderful and loving parents. Thinking if all of you. Thinking if you Jimmy and Kathy and your family🙏🏼💕
