Brenda Pleasants Snead
March 14, 1949 – January 22, 2026
Brenda Pleasants Snead, 76, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2026, in Holly Grove, the place she called home throughout her life. Brenda was a devoted mother and the heart of her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Estelle and Ohma Pleasants, her beloved husband and high school sweetheart, Wallace Snead, her cherished daughter, Jill Snead, and her brother Ralph Pleasants.
She is survived by her three sons, Norman, Jason, and John Snead, who will forever carry her love, strength, and guidance with them. She is also survived by her sister, Nancy Franklin (Dana). Brenda was a proud and loving grandmother to Jordan Snead (Paige), and Kaylen Snead as well as a great-grandmother to Weston. They all brought her immense joy and pride.
Brenda spent 30 plus years welcoming and taking care of many patients with her jovial smile and personal touch when she worked with Dr. Jerry Booth in Richmond. She was also affiliated with Louisa Youth Football for 42 years along with her husband, Wallace.
Known for her warm spirit and joyful presence, Brenda found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. She loved traveling, playing bingo, reading and staying active with pickleball. Most of all, she loved spending meaningful time with friends and family. Her laughter, kindness, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Brenda’s legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the family she loved so deeply.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Oakland Baptist Church in Holly Grove.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
