Deborah Kay Meeks

July 8, 1954 – December 26, 2025

Deborah Kay Meeks, age 71, passed away peacefully at her home in Bumpass, Virginia on December 26, 2025. Deborah was a beloved wife, mother, sister and friend whose warmth and kindness touched all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Roger Lee Meeks; her father, Herman Albert Davis; and her mother, Daisy Bell Hawley Wolfe. Deborah also mourned the loss of Herman “Herbie” Davis, Sandy Kemp, Gaylynn “Gail” Luck, and Patty Wolfe.

She is survived by her son, Robert “Robbie” Morton Smith IV and his wife, Donna, and their son, Daniel; her sisters, Diane Amos (Bobby), Lynn Johnson (Tommy), Tammy Wolfe (Dean), and Sue Dmytryszyn; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends

Kay loved gardening, especially her summer tomatoes and flowers.  She enjoyed crafting, oldies music and spending time with family and friends.

She was blessed to have an amazing care team that became family through the years and she loved and appreciated them very much

Deborah will be remembered for her gentle spirit, unwavering strength, and the love she shared with her family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion and cherished memories.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, December 29,2025 at Little River Baptist Church 4959 Buckner Road, Bumpass VA 23024. A funeral service will be held at the church at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2025, with interment to follow in Little River Baptist Church Cemetery.
