Erma Payne Harris, 76, of Gum Spring, died Wednesday, June 1, 2011. She is survived by her husband, Richard Gordon Harris Sr.; two sons, Dicky and his wife, Penny and Steve and his wife, Nancy; her grandchildren, Lynn, Lindsay, Kenny and Pam; her great-grandchildren, Katelin, Lucas, Dakota, Holly, Bailey, Coleman, Casey, Victoria, Gunnar, Sarah, Jordan, Andrew; her sister, Edith Jones and her husband, Marvin. Her remains rest at the Lacy Funeral Home, Rt. 522, Mineral, where family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday in Gum Spring United Methodist Church with interment in church cemetery.
We will always have good memories of Erma Lee. She was a good, fun loving lady. You will be missed by all who knew you.Lydia and Leslie Parrish
To the Harris family esp. Katilyn and Lucas. You had a lovely grandmother. I remember in my early twenties she was like a community icon at the Junction. Well loved and everyone called her Granny. She will be missed. God bless you all.
