Florence Marie Armstrong, 85, of Mineral passed away Thursday, September 4, 2008. Marie was born January 1, 1923 to the late Samuel and Marie Hawley Chandler. She was a homemaker.
Marie was preceded in death by her husband Harvey H. Armstrong and her son Harvey W. Billy” Armstrong.
She is survived by her daughter Elizabeth Monahan and husband George of Hopewell three grandchildren Billy Armstrong of Mineral Jennifer Sears and husband Stephen of Chester Jaime Blackmon and husband Scott of Chester three great-grandchildren Kevin and Travis Sears and Jessica Blackmon.
A graveside service conducted by Dr. David Black was held Monday September 8 2008 at the Armstrong Family Cemetery in Mineral.
I will always remember Aunt Marie as a listener, not a talker. She was an all around good person, and will be missed by many. But I know that she is not suffering now, and that is a blessing.
