Franklin Atkinson

of Mineral died Sunday, March 23, 2008. He was preceeded in death by his wife: Christine Lloyd Atkinson, and is survived by his brother: George Irving Atkinson of Richmond, Virginia; two- sisters: Edith Ann Moats of Richmond, Virginia and Iris Rush of California; and other family members.

Memorial Services will be held at 7:00 PM Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at Lacy Funeral Home Rt. 522 Mineral, Virginia. Inurnment will be private.

Franklin was born July 1, 1938, son of the late Dewey and Dora Fortune Atkinson. He was a retired watchman for the state of VA and veteran of the US Navy.
