Garland Jasper Cox passed away Monday, March 4, 2013 at Lexington Court Rehab Center in Richmond.Garland resided in Bumpass with his son G. Andrew Cox and daughter-in-law, Donna. He is also survived by his daughters, Lisa Cox Bartoszek and Christi Cox Hallom and husband Richard; three grandchildren, Megan Paxton and husband Hank, Scott Viar and wife, Brittany, and Daniel McFaden; great-grandchild, Kaleigh Viar; sister, Barbara Jean Reynolds; and brother, Ernest P. Miear Jr.Garland’s wishes were to be cremated and have a private family gathering at a later date.Memorial donations may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.A special thanks to the staff of Lexington Court Rehab Center, St. Mary’s Hospital and Hospice Community Care for the wonderful care Garland received.
I miss you so much already Dad
Garland was a very caring and close cousin. We will miss his weekly phone calls and conversations. I am so glad I got to make a quilt for him he could enjoy for the last couple of years. He will be missed in the Cox family. Rick and Sassy Foster
