Henry F. Foster

August 4, 1930 – March 3, 2022

After three years of declining health, Henry Foster’s body just gave out and on March 3, 2022 he went to be with Jesus in a place of indescribable beauty and no pain, suffering and tears. He was born on August 4, 1930 to Minnie and Frank Foster. He was the last survivor of eleven siblings. He was born in and lived in the same house for 91 years.

Henry was a lifelong member of South Anna Baptist Church. He served there in many roles including Sunday school teacher, superintendent, chair member, trustee, and repairman. He was a deacon for over sixty years.

He leaves behind his wife Kay of 57 years. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, including a special nephew George Adams, and many friends. Henry farmed for many years. He also had an appliance business and laundromat in mineral.

The family would like to thank all of those who have helped us through these trying times. Many friends have been available to help including caretaker Jean Williams and pastor Steve McClary Hilda Boxley and Hayes and Jean Dinsmore and others. We would also like to remember the help of Raymond Wolfe gave us. He is now deceased.

Visitation will be held at 1pm on Monday March 7, 2022 at South Anna Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 2pm in South Anna Baptist Church with pastor Steve McClary officiating with graveside services to follow in South Anna Baptist Church cemetery.
