Hubert Brewer 60 of Mineral passed away Friday November 16 2012. Born in North Carolina to Wilbert and Clyde he married his dedicated wife Deborah in 1973 and moved to Goochland to continue his career in road construction before moving to Louisa County in 1976. Besides his wife he is survived by his much loved daughter Rebecca her husband Dustin Lowe the son he always wanted and three gran-daughters Kaylee (Butterbean) Avery and Emersyn who loved him as much as he loved them. He is also survived by a sister Mary Miller a brother Billy Brewer his in-laws Dorothy Briley Steve and Betty Briley and Michael Briley and many other relatives and friends including his “adoptive” family the Matteras. His special talent roasting pigs and chicken and the sauce only he seemed able to make just right will be missed. Lacy’s Funeral Home hosted a visitation on Monday November 19 2012 . Dave Whitlock conducted graveside services at Spring Grove in Mineral on Tuesday November 20 2012 for which we are extremely grateful. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Hume-Lee Transplant Center VCU Hospital The Gateway Bldg 1200E Marshall Street. Richmond VA 23298 in honor of Dr. M Shadab Siddiqui whose compassion and caring was especially comforting to us all.
