Hugh was a loving, fun, caring Uncle who was an important part of my life. He would tell me how he held me for hours when I was running high fevers at two years old. At five years old I was the flower girl in his wedding. Growing up one of the highlights of my summer was spending time with his family.
I will always be grateful for Hugh allowing me to spend summers at his farm in Louisa whe we 1st moved back from South Carolina, some of the best memories of my childhood, although I never knew why ( and he’ d just grin when i ask)he always called me Wyatt Earp. God bless you Hugh
Wendell & family,

Uncle Hugh was loving, lots of fun and never minded teaching us how to help on farm. Which we loved doing! My brother Richard and I spent many summers on the farm making wonderful memories with our cousins. Uncle Hugh would always have a twinkle in his eyes when teasing and having fun with us all! Uncle Hugh may you rest in peace. We all truly loved you and you will be missed. 🙏
