James Andrew Stanley, known to many as Chigger, 83, of Louisa went to meet his Lord and savior Jesus Christ on January 29, 2015. He was a hardworking man all of his life, who created a successful sawmill business with the help of his children. He is survived by his wife Peggy Stanley; one brother, Thomas Stanley; five children, Bruce, David (Julia), Mark (Mary), Tim, and Vicky Beckley (Robert); loyal stepson James Jarrett and five additional stepchildren; six grandchildren David Jr., Melissa, Mark, Michael, Wanda, and Brian; 23 step-grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 2 to 5pm Sunday, February 1, 2015 at Lacy Funeral Home, 6241 Cross County Road, Mineral, Virginia. A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 2, 2015 at 11am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Stanley Family Cemetery.
