Jeffrey Charles Dwyer Jr.

June 30, 1972 – April 28, 2022

Jeffrey Charles Dwyer jr., died unexpectedly in his home in Bumpass VA  on Thursday, April 28, 2022.

Jeff was born June 30, 1972 at New Brighton Hospital, PA, the first son of Jeffrey Charles Sr and Deborah (Platt) Dwyer. He graduated from Cape Henlopen High School Lewes, DE, class of 1990. He later attended Northern Virginia Community College studying auto mechanics.

In 2008, he met his best friend, his soul mate, his everything, Christi Watson and after six years of dating, they married May 25, 2013 and continued building their lives together, settling in Bumpass. He was a heavy equipment operator at Rainwater Concrete at the time of his passing.

Jeff loved mudbogging, hunting, camping, throwing cornhole, his “special project treasures” and spending time with his family and friends who became family. He loved being a husband, a father and “Papa”. He joked he was known as a jack of all trades, master of none. He was one of the kindest souls, there to lend a hand to anyone who needed his help. He would drop everything he was doing to run and help a friend in need, even if he hadn’t seen that person in years.

In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his grandparents, Charles and Norma Dwyer and Carl and Bernice Platt; his stepfather, Emory Van Doren; and mother-in-law, Diane (Ford) Hall.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Christi (Watson) Dwyer; his mother, Deborah (Platt) Van Doren; step-mother Elba Dwyer; five children Justin (Alexa) Watson, Ashley (Watson) Hendrickson, Ryan (Sammi) Watson, Maddie DeMonti, Tripp Dwyer; and  two granddaughters Aubrey Hendrickson and Kimberly (Peanut) Dwyer; his six siblings, Eric Dwyer, Brian Dwyer, Darryl (Wendy) Dwyer, Vicky (Charles) Michael, Vicky Van Doren, and Kim (Len) DiStefano; and many nieces and nephews.

Jeff’s wishes were to be cremated and to have a huge party to celebrate his life, so there will be a “celebration of life”  Saturday, June 25, 2022, with details to follow.
