In Loving
Memory

Karen Askew Green

October 20, 1961 – October 24, 2022

Karen Askew Green, 61, of Bumpass VA, entered eternal life on Monday October 24th.
Karen was a warm smile, a confiding ear, and a loving light to all who encountered her. She was a doting wife who enjoyed spending her days junking with her husband, camping in her “little house”, beautifying her home, and adding to her “Honey Do List”. She was a devoted mother who could be accounted for at every sporting event, book fair, picture day, PTA meeting, boy scout and girl scout activity, and for every smile, tear, fear, and joy requiring love.
Karen’s dream was always to be a mother and she was that to so many more than her flesh and blood. She had been a pillar in the soccer community for Innumerable seasons. She was always one of the first smiling faces you’d see each Saturday under her white concession tent.
The next big dream she held dear was to be a grandmother (GG) and God blessed her again five times over.
The love she had for her family was visible in her smile and within each story she loved to share.
Karen was proceeded in death by her mother Gracie Lassiter, father Thomas Askew, father in law Robert Green, mother in law Emma Lassiter, step father Henry Lassiter, step mother in law June Green, along with a host of grandparents, uncles, and aunts.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years Robert Green, son Robert Lee Green (Kandie), daughter Raleigh Green (Maurice), granddaughters Harleigh, Scarlette, Arabella, Marleigh, and grandson Makai. Brothers Mark Askew (Kim) and John Askew, nieces Ashleigh Askew and Jessica Sharpe, along with many more whom she loved.
A celebration of life will be held at the Bethany Christian Church gymnasium on Novemeber 19th from 1pm-3pm.
