Michael Ray Sherrill, 54, of Ashland died Sunday, January 29, 2012 at VCU Medical Center.
Mr. Sherrill was a member of Oakland Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Beach-Sherrill; a son, Austin Sherrill and his wife, Jennifer of Louisa County; his daughter, Rhiannon Sherrill of Spotsylvania County; two step-sons, Christopher and Stephen Burgess of Ashland; his mother, Jerralyn Sherrill of Louisa County; two sisters, Theresa Griffith and her husband, Ronald of Glen Allen and Sharon Sherrill of Louisa County; and six grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 12:30pm Wednesday, February 1 at Oakland Baptist Church. The family will received friends from 11am until service time. Interment will be private.

I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Mike . He was a very good person who would go out of his way to help anyone. He will be truly missed. May God continue to richly Bless each of you.
