Michael Wayne Eck, Sr., 65, of Bumpass went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, December 21, 2025, under hospice care at Henrico Doctors Forest.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, who loved him so very much, Sherry Lynn Eck; beloved son, Michael Wayne Eck Jr.; his sister, Patricia Hall (Russell); nieces, Nancy Wright (Ronnie), Debi Floyd and (Jonni Floyd – passed); aunt, Carol Thomas (David-passed); cousins, Shane and Brock; uncle David Franklin (Priscilla-passed); cousins, Amanda and Tony (passed); numerous other family members and friends;  and of course his beloved dogs, Flint, Carly and Shasta, and cats, Cleo, Romeo, Loki, Princess and Cookie.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 6 ,2026 at Hopeful Baptist Church Cemetery, 14340 Hopeful Church Rd., Montpelier, VA.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hopeful Baptist Church, 14340 Hopeful Church Rd, Montpelier, VA 23192, who provided so much support and love to Michael and the family during Michaels extended illness.

Michael loved his Lord Jesus.  He is in no more pain and full of the joy of his Lord!  Praise God!
