Mildred Ann Waldrop Patterson, 57 of Louisa, passed away, Friday, September 4, 2009, at her home.
Survivors include her loving husband:: James Patterson, Jr., her parents: Herbert F. Waldrop and Gladys Duncan Waldrop; two sons: James Patterson III and fiancé Lindsey Rowe, and Christopher Patterson; two daughters: Ashlee Patterson, and Kelly Patterson; step-son: William Eugene Patterson; step-daughter: Elizabeth Marie Patterson; two brothers: James Waldrop, and Steve Waldrop; step-grandchildren: Sean and Jayson Williams, and many nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends from 6:00- 8:00 P.M., Sunday, September 6, 2009, at Lacy Funeral Home, Mineral.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, September 7, 2009, in the Lacy Funeral Home Chapel, Father Michael Duffy will officiate.

To Jimmy and all children-I am so sorry for your loss. I know this is a very difficult time for everyone. The journey was a difficult one for all of you, and now I hope you will gain strength from the brave fight fought by Mildred. I have so many memories of us growing up together and it is fond memories of the good times that help you find comfort. I hope you will let others help during this time-I offer any support that I can provide. God bless you all.
My prayers and thoughts go out to your family. Momma was so loving and kind and was always there when I needed a ear to lean on she is going to be missed so much.
I am so sad to hear about Mildred! I remember her from school, and Mildred always made me smile. You will all be in my thoughts and prayers. May light perpetual shine on Mildred.
Words can not express how sad I was to hear of the passing of such a sweet and kind hearted person that Mildred was. I will always treasure our little talks we shared ,not to mention the laughs and stories of our children.My prayers are with Jimmy and the children,be strong,May God bless you at this time of sorrow.
