Otho Phillip Bubba” Butler Jr. 31 of Bumpass passed away March 30 2009 at The University of Virginia Medical Center Charlottesville.
Survivors include his wife: Donna C. Butler; parents: Otho Phillip Butler Sr. and Barbara Ann Butler; grandmother: Sadie M. Nuckols; three sisters: Billie Jo Terrell and husband Neil Donna M. Butler and husband Buck Lewis Debra D. “Dinker” Butler; two brothers: Ellis “Nutty” Butler and wife Tammy; Phillip E. “Butch” Butler; two stepchildren: Josh and Kevin Stewardson; seven nieces; six nephews; six uncles; and one aunt.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday April 11 2009 at Lacy Funeral Home 6241 Cross County Road Mineral Virginia 23117.

My most memorable memory of him was on fathers day when he was playing his guitar & how happy it made him. We will never forget Bubba and he will be missed greatly. Please call if you need anything.
Bubba was our nephew and we loved him so very much. As a child we loved every moment that he would come to stay with us. But as they get older and have their own friends and time passes us by we see less of each other. For Bubba give a hug to those people you do not see as much as you would like.

We only meet you a few times but in that short time we thought you were a friendly and loving person. We will never forget you in the short time we knewn you.

Phil & AnnVery sorry about you loss, i knew Bubba for approx. 3 years. What i knew of your son was a very happy and polite guy. My prayers are with you and your family at this very difficult time.

I met bubba trying to trade my Mustang for his Harley and ended up feeling like we have known him all his life.He was a very fun person to be around.I will miss stopping by,seeing his smiling face and having a beer or two. We ended up buying the Harley, we will cherrish and ride in his memory from now on.
I will always remember your beautiful smile and those gorgeous blue eyes. oh the way you made the girls melt in high school. I am not going to say that the pain goes away but it does get easier with each day. The Lord took Bubba away but he cant take the memories. I cant say that I know how you feel, but I can say I know how it feels to lose my best friend, my mother. My heart goes out to you all, you have made me feel like I really belong….Love, Tammy & Nutty
