November 17, 1935- April 26, 2020
Percy Lee (Butch) Walker, Jr., 84, of Bumpass passed away at his home with his loving family by his side. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, a present member of Sharon Christian Church, was a member of Bethany Christian Church, served as an elder, and was a member of the Board of Directors of Piedmont Christian School. A retired carpenter and loved doing woodwork as a hobby after retirement.
Our Loving husband, daddy, and grandpa went to be with the Lord April 26, 2020. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Jane; daughter Debbie Lorraine Walker Plesko; two sons Bruce Clayton Walker (Kim), Benjamin Adrian Walker (Tim); seven grandchildren, Michael Lee Hallett (Hollie), Bruce Clayton Walker, Jr. (Elizabeth), Mary Jane Hallett, Tracy Breedlove (Will), Brandon Walker (Alex), Martha Bowers (Anthony) and Walter Plesko III. Eight great-grandchildren, Matthew, Alexis, Hayden, Bella, Addalyn, Cameron, Koby, and Kameron; one brother Michael; five sisters, Betty, Barbara, Virginia (Johnny), Patsy (Cutler) and Sheila.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Percy Lee and Alma Mae Walker, Sr.; son-n-law Walter Plesko, Jr.; two brothers, James,and Will Walker; one sister Gracie Lassiter; brothers-n-law, David Gabbert, Johnny Huckstep, and Roy Bowes; several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Diabetes Association, or St. Jude Children’s Hospital. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
