This breaks my heart, Van was a special cousin that I always admired! His stories of his adventures in Alaska and his smile as he told them will be forever missed. He was a gifted story teller. Love and blessings to you Julia. We will be remembering you in our prayers that Gods loving arms are holding you tight!
I’m so glad I had the pleasure of meeting him and his wonderful wife and helping him through last years health issues and will cherish the pictures I have of us fishing and the therapy sessions in the garage which is bigger than my house:) he was a fighter and will me missed by those from Paradise home care that met him. Thoughts and prayers to Mrs Julia and family.
Vannie, you now join our beloved Gran, Big Van and Phyllis along with many aunts, uncles and cousins from our family. You left us too soon.
I knew Van as a kid with his family & crazy cousin Wayne. As adults (? lol), my husband, Wayne, Vannie & one of his friends spent many weekend nights playing card & socializing. He’s now with all those men enjoying Heaven & having no pain. We’ll miss you Vannie & my prayers go out to Julia. May God wrap his loving arms around you. ❤️
Van was Wayne‘s favorite cousin and shooting buddy. He was a fine man and a good friend. He will be missed. May God bless and care for his lovely and devoted wife, Julia.
Van and I were friends when we were kids. Our parents were good friends. The mothers visited (gossiped) while the dads, Van and I went hunting. I always enjoyed “Vannie’s” friendship and his love of the outdoors. I was excited for him when he sold his beautiful Corvette, bought a Scout and headed to the woods of Alaska. Though we lost touch over the years, I will always remember him fondly with a smile.
