Lynwood W. Slayton, 78 of Beaverdam, VA passed away peacefully on March 15th, 2022. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Martha Slayton, two children Robert Slayton (Stephanie), Ben Slayton (Bunny) and four grandchildren, Austin, Ryan, Whitney, and Maddie.
The family will receive friends Sunday March 20th, 2022, from 2-6pm @ Beaverdam United Methodist church located at 19338 Beaverdam, VA 23015
There will be a celebration of life on Monday March 21st, 2022 @ Beaverdam United Methodist church @11am.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Beaverdam United Methodist Church or to Immaculate Conception Church (Bumpass, VA).

Martha and family, We are so very sorry to hear of Lynwood’s passing. Our prayers are with all of you.
I remember Lynwood so well. A great co-worker and always keeping things lively and doing the right thing at VDOT. Thoughts and prayers to the family.
Praying for God to give you the comfort and peace at this sad time. He was a kind and sweet man. I will always remember him as the Santa at the Beaverdam Depot.

My deepest condolences are extended to you and your family. Lynwood was one of my co-workers at VDOT and he was one of the nicest person. He told us a lot of stories and we had a lot of laughs. He will truly be missed.

Mr.Slayton was a great man and will be greatly missed….we’ll miss your funny jokes every morning when you come in to see us….a light has definitely went out at west end dialysis….My condolences go out to Mrs.Slayton and his family….we miss you Mr.Slayton❤️
I just learned of Lynwood’s passing. Please accept my sincere condolences on the loss of your husband, father and grandfather. Lynwood was my supervisor at VDOT for many years, but I also considered him a friend as well. May God keep his Angels of Mercy around you all and give you peace and comfort as you navigate life without him.
